DIY ESP32/ESP8266 Nightlight for your room

In this video I’m going to show you how to build a night light or ambient light for your room, but you can use the same guide to light up your media room, book shelve, display case or anything else that you want to. This project is quick and super easy to build so it’s perfect weekend project. Also, all parts are easy to get and available off the shelf and end result is… awesome!

Arduino code that is running the nightlight can be downloaded for the GitHub repository.

You can find ESP32 modules as well as WS2812b LED strips on eBay, AliExpress or Amazon. Make sure you search for ESP32 module (and not the standalone IC, unless you want to make your own PCB). Also, for WS2812b, there are many options to choose from, pick the number of LEDs and waterproof option as you see best fit for your project. I opted for 144 LEDs/meter and non-waterproof version of the LED strip.
